3.1) Brassens' short story on immigration

  • Beginning of the story

I'm from Tunisia, my name is Pulah. I'm a eleven-year-old girl.

I was seven years old when I went to France. I immigrated with my parents.

I left Tunisia in a boat for France.

    First Event

The Mediteranean sea moved a lot and we were really scared. I was so sad to leave my country because all my friends are in Tunisia. The boat trip lasted 3 days, we were 50 people on the boat, the boat was crowded.

We immigrated because of a civil war between friends of the Tunisian President and people opposed to the President. I dreamt about going to Spain because it is a big and beautiful country but I had to go to France because I speak French and I would have a better life.

    Second event

France is a welcoming country. I arrived in Paris in a migrant center. With my parents, I lived in a tent. The life conditions were terrible, it was dirty, there were too many people, they were violent. The food was not very good , there was not any vegetables.

    End of the story

Now, I'm eleven and I go to Louis de Funes Middle School. I'm in 6th grade.

I live near Toulouse. I found new friends. My parents found new jobs. I feel like a French girl. I love French food.
