2nd game BEAN BAG THROWING

  • BEAN BAG THROWING GAME ( For the 1st and 2nd Grades)

    GAME RULES

    LEARNING OUTCOMES

    * S/he gets hand-eye and eye-foot coordination.

    *S/he regulates simple strategies and rules in game

    *S/he makes switching movements with an increased accuracy

    PLAYGROUND

    1. Playground: This game can be played both indoors and outdoors. The playground can be grass, concrete or soil ; but it should be flat surface.

    2. Pitch Size: The playground is 10 X 3 meters rectangle shape. Throwing distance should ben 3 meters. The geometric shapes in the pitch where the player makes the throwing are within a rectangular area of 1.5 x 2.5 meters. The geometric shapes in this area are rated as 1-2-3-4-5 points to the small-to-greatness.

    DURATION

    1. Each player in the team has a single shot that must be done within 30 seconds. The team which gets the highest point wins the game.

    THE TEAMS

    1.The teams are formed as girl-boy mixed.

    2. The teams are formed of 6 students;3 girls and 3 boys

    3. A team can consist 8 members  at most ( 6 major, 2 backup players) The team leader will be the one who will throw the bean bag.

    HOW TO PLAY

    1.The order of the team which starts first will be decided by toss-up

    2.After the order decided, the referee will determine the teams’ places in the players’ area and rank the teams.

    3. As a result, teams are ranked in the playground  where the players are located, and in this order the teams make their throws in teams.

    4.The bean bag will be given to the leader of the teams in turn by the referee.

    5. Each player has 30 seconds to throw the bean bag into the target. Each of the 6 players in team will throw the bean bag in turn and a referee will be announce the points and another referee will collect the scores.

    6. The referee will give zero point to the team player who violates the shooting range. The team may not get points with that player.

    7. At least half of the bean bags must have entered the inner area of ​​the targeted area; or else it may not be scored. The referee is the only authority  in this judgment.

    8.After each team throw the bean bag in turn, the scores will be calculated.

    9. If the game ends in a draw , a final game should be played and the team which gets the highest point wins the game.

    THE REFEREES

    1. In the game “Bean Bag Throwing” , there are 3 referees as range officer, referee making determination and scorekeeper.

    2.Range Officer:  S/he has all the authority. S/he should be active and kinesthetic during the game.S/he checks whether the shoots of the players are in the framework of the rules.

    3. Determining Referee: S/he Determines whether the bean bag enters or misses the targeted geometric area and  also, it will be awarded points or not.

    4.Scorekeeper Referee: S/he calculates the scores of the teams after their throws.
