    Portuguese Play

On the 2nd June, Portuguese pupils from 5th grade performed their Financial Education Play @ E.B. 2,3 de Marco de Canaveses's Library.

During 2 days (what exceeded our expectations and plans) 5th grade pupils performed a Puppet Show explaining how paper money appeared in Portugal in 1797, during the reign of Queen Maria I. Portugal faced a severe economic crisis: coming out of the War of Roussillon, the decline in the exploitation of the gold mines in Brazil and the increase in State expenses led to the appearance of paper money. It was an enormous success!
