Project Steps and Objectives

  •          Welcome to eTwinning project - "Conflict to Cooperation" 

     

    Our eTwinning project involving pupils from five countries

    (United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Poland, Turkey).

    Thank you for your interest and collaboration in this project.

    Our objectives are....

    • Students will learn to resolve conflicts by different peaceful means, seek paths leading to agreement and explore the past. 

    • Study about political, religious, economic, environmental conflicts and share with foreign students from their partner schools from the UK, Italy, Spain and Turkey. This will teach them tolerance and empathy.  

    Project steps and deadlines:

    I. Presentation of each school and its background by means of power point presentations, videos and photos (X – III 2017).

    Phase I – Immigration, refugees, discrimination (II - III 2017).                                                                                                                        A. Students will participate in the creation of the topics by choosing issues related to immigration.

    B. Students from schools in Poland, Italy, Spain, United Kongdom and Turkey:

    1. Will deal with  the keywords connected with the project:  migrant, immigrant, refugee and what  these words mean to our pupils?

    2. Students will gather information about the refugee crisis in Europe, using a variety of resources, such as newspapers, UNICEF, Amnesty International, UN Refugee Agency, etc.  Each school is supposed to make a document in which they answer various questions about the origins of the refugee crisis (who? where? why?).  They will use datas & graphics found online, citing their sources in a proper way.

    3. Students will prepare a questionnaire examining knowledge of the subject, then they share it on Twinnspace forum.

    4. Students will participate in workshops on discrimination, racism, intolerance. They learn to distinguish between these concepts. In the discussion they determine how to prevent these attitudes.                        
    At this stage, the students prepare interactive posters, videos, entries to the eBook.

    Phase II - Environment (III - V 2017)

    A. Students participate in creating a theme around their chosen issues related to the concept of the environment.

    Resources: eg water/gas/oil/food. 

    Eeconomic issues.     

    Sustainability habitats.

    Environmental impact eg pollution/carbon footprint.

    Local/national/global initiatives eg. recycling.

    Individual responsibility  and webquest .

    Raising awareness:  campaign leaflets/T-shirts/badges.

    Global citizenship. 

    B. Students from schools in Poland, Italy, Spain, United Kongdom and Turkey:

    1. Prepare a leaflet on environmental protection.

    2. Prepare mascot design activities related to the theme of recycled materials - explain, what materials they want to use, why, what the mascot is?

    3. Make a pdf and / or a short video to introduce the work of  their team connected with protection of the environment !

    4. You should be also ready to discuss issues connected with protection of the environment in your country.

     Phase III - Gender (X - I 2018)

    A. Students participate in creating a theme around their chosen issues related to the concept of gender.
