Easter Traditions in Spain.

  •

    1. PALM SUNDAY

This day is tradition to release any new garment in ordes to be lucky the rest of the year. Palm Sunday is when the arrival of Jesus Crist is commemorated in Jerusalen and, for that reason, palms and olive branches are also usually brought to Mass to be blessed.

    2. HOLY MONDAY

The tradition of this day comes from the brotherhoods. In Málaga from the day before and until Holy Wednesday, a guard takes turns every five minutes to guard the Crist of Good Luck in the Church of Santo Domingo.

In Holy Thursday we go to the church to celebrate The Last Supper.

In Holy Friday we celebrate The Passion of Christ and some kids recreated the scenes.
