Science education should be an essential component of a learning continuum for all, from pre-school to active engaged citizenship. Furthermore, it should focus on competences with an emphasis on learning through science and shifting from STEM to STEAM by linking science with other subjects and disciplines. In our project, we aspire to develop both the students’ science and technology literacy and their cross-curricular skills such entrepreneurship, digital skills, problem solving, science and technology literacy and language competences in the context of textile industry. More specifically, we aim to develop teaching materials that will help improve how science is taught in schools in different countries in Europe and equip the future generations with a solid foundation of knowledge and understanding to be able to debate and evaluate scientific and technological issues and make informed decisions.
