Let's Work in Our Dictionary

We've created and XML folder with some information about XML. Our dictionary will be stored in XML document, you have an entry example have a look.

We will work in an intermediate document, an spreadsheet where we will compile each entry [we'll provide this document]. Once a language entry is finished we will translate it into our XML document, and we will send it to Spanish partners. For example, English entry finished will be like:

Rules

We must consider some RULES:

• lower case letters: most of the information must be in lower case letters (part_speech, image, term, gender, number, pronuntiation_audio).
• gender values are m for masculine and f for feminine.
• number values are s for singular and p for plural.

Images

Images will be SQUARED, its dimensions will be 400x400 pixels, and it will be stored in png format.

Furthermore images must be original. We can take pictures or drawings and after convert it in a squared 300x300 png image. Be careful you must take care of proportions when you transform the image, don't deform it.

Image files name are based on English term, look at the example provided.

You can use the software you want to do the transformation. An option is GIMP, https://www.gimp.org

You can use the "terms-images" folder to upload images.

Audio

We will record pronuntiation terms. Audio must be in ogg format. Audio files name are based on term and language, look at the example provided.

You can use Audacity to perform this task, http://www.audacityteam.org, it's a free multiplatform software.

When you have your language XML document complete, and the audio, you must send it to Spanish partners.
