Sharing volunteering service in mixed groups made by students from Italy, Czech Republic, Spain and Poland at the Charity Center "Missione S. Francesco di Frati Cappuccini"
Everybody was volunteering today in mixed groups made by students with different nationalities. Gardening, helping with the kitchen, with the wardrobe and giving food for those in need. And also teachers did volunteer and made a contribution in order to give a hand at the Charity Center "Missione S. Francesco di Frati Cappuccini", for homeless. Very touching day!
During the afternoon we had a multicultural party at the school organized by the families. Traditional games, music, dancing and a huge variety of Sicilian food.
#erasmusplus #orientacionconsaburum #iesconsaburum #solidarity#volunteering
And also we had the presence of National volunteering associations in Sicily of #immigrants and #refugees by Missione Speranza e Caritá Antonio Trípode “You young people are the future of the world, you must learn to fight the evil in the world and fight for a fairer society”- they said to the students. After the talk, a mosaic workshop for the students while others are training for the farewell choir. Very touching moment, all the students together sharing their voices in a choir, singing Queen and John Lennon, conducted by the Director of the Jazz Orchestra of Sicily. One Europe, one voice made by diversity. Amazing!

Let me introduce our Mobility in Sicily Team. We're ready, we're prepared for this new educative adventure
From 13th to 19th October we're gonna have our 4th mobility in Sicily (Italy). These are our pictures about our volunteering actions during these years for the Volunteering Photo Competition. I am also adding a photo taken this morning while our Mobility in Sicily Volunteering Team was working together with the priceless help of Jenni Virtanen, our Finnish assistant
Our first two pictures are referred to volunteering in the Charity Bar of Cáritas and our students helping in the Charity Shop of Manos Unidas. Then we add three more pictures about our volunteering in Red Cross where our Hgh School students were helping other younger students with learning difficulties. They were also performing games and dynamics for the wee ones after school. The last three pictures are related to the volunteering actions which took place in our school. Our Environment League watered the trees and plants while kept in good conditions the common areas of our courtyard. They also made bins for each classroom to promote recycling. We also made some contributions to our common mind map about "Our European Values for Volunteering":
Reasons we are in this Erasmus + project:
We want to visit new cultures
We want to meet new people
We want to help people
We want to learn more English
And eat new type of food
Good things about Spanish people and culture:
We are warm and friendly
We know how to relax
Our typical food is rich and healthy
We are lively and funny
What kind of Europe we want to live in?:
We want Europe with peace
Open borders
Europe without poor people and without conflicts
No discrimination and no wars
