Aristotelio College held its EUREKA! Invention Competition on Sunday 14/01/2018. The judging committee consisted of Aristotelio College primary school teachers, Georgia Safouri, Maria Ioannou, Despina Filippidou, Iosifina Katoflidou and secondary school teacher of Science and Technology, Maria Damali, co-ordinator of “Virtual Business”, who was invited to be one of the judges as a person with long experience in such hands-on experiential projects, that involve ingenuity, innovativeness, entrepreneurship, collaboration, leadership, communicative skills, financial management, strategic designing, undertaking and allocating responsibility, sales management, profit making, damage control.
On Friday 19/01/18, all inventors presented their inventions to the whole school. After a lot of consideration and long meetings with all teaching staff, judges decided upon three winners, each with their own assets:
an innovative product/construction with a worthy purpose for our little stray animals STREET FOOD AND HOUSE by 8-year-old Nicky Dimanopoulou,
an invaluable humanitarian medical service ΤΟ ΑSTHENOFORO TWN PAIDIWN (Ambulance for Children) George Felekis
and a very well worked-on ecological concept and functional construction, the ECO-VILLAGE by Anna-Maria Verviti.
