A virtual trip around an inclusive and diverse Europe

Through this project, students will be able to take advantage of ICTs to make up, in some way, the lack of extracurricular activities and travelling opportunities that we currently have due to the pandemic situation and also not to lose the hope for collaborative learning and the use of the English language as the lingua franca of the project. The idea is to organise a trip through Europe in a virtual way, thanks to different activities prepared by schools of different countries: we will use Google maps not only including pins with videos, audios, photos and activities in which students explain their countries (for example: guided tours of monuments, virtual visits to museums and natural environments…), but also through games and contests to discover those countries. By using active methodologies, ICTs and working on common activities, all subjects can be involved to learn about culture, art, traditions, landscapes, gastronomy, diversity of countries and schools, how to live together, respect one another... Later on, some teachers and students will physically visit those countries to learn in situ and transmit the learning to the rest of the schools. There is, therefore, a dual purpose: a virtual collaboration and a possible exchange. Through the different activities created, students will become journalists, chefs, actors and actresses, writers, translators, artists, athletes, etc.
