    Lesson objectives.-

    1. Poetry is usually restricted to Advanced Levels of English. I would like to show that through poetry we can teach basic grammar and vocabulary.

    2. Development of speaking, listening and writing skills.

    3. Develompent of language and functions ( past tense asking questions).


     

    What language will you focus on in the lesson?

    I will focus in the vocabulary needed to understand the poem. Different verbs will appear that they have to know to understand the poem.


     

    Materials you will use,-

    1. Power Point on vocabulary needed.

    2. Power Point on verbs needed.

    3. Worksheet on asking questions

    1. Stage 3 minutes

    Teacher shows Power Point on Vocabulary

    Students guess meanings of words and check their pronunciation.

    1. Stage 2. 2 minutes

    Teacher introduces the verbs.

    Students mime the verbs.

    1. Stage 3. 1 minute

    Teacher shows Power Point on vebs.

    Students guess meanings of verbs and check their pronunciation.

    1. Stage 4. 3 minutes. Story telling

    Teacher writes the introduction to the information they have to fill in. Should give a sheet of paper to write the information

    Students write the information sharing the same story.

    1. Stage 5. 5minutes

    Teacher reads the real story .

    Students listen to the story, take note and try and write the real version.

    6- Stage 6.5 minutes

    Teacher shows them tasks on gramar.

    Students do the activity orally.

    7.Stage 7. 3 minutes

    Teacher shows the poem.

    Students underline the words they know.

    8. Stage 8. 5 minutes

    Teachers asks students to create a new poem with their favorite words.

    Sudents read the poem aloud.

    9. Stage9.3 minutes

    Teacher asks students to do the socrative test.

    Students do the socrative tet.

    10. Stage 10. 3 minutes

    Teacher plays the video.

    Students listen to the video.


     


     

    And then students can start to create Caviardage.
