GENERATION Z: Being an aware digital citizen

In this phase of digital transition it is imperative to train young people for their inclusion in the digital society. The year 2020/2021 has created adverse situations in various areas that will have repercussions in the coming years. One of them is undoubtedly the disinformation, associated with the skills of searching for and organizing reliable information. Young people struggle with this difficulty in the face of the quantity and diversity of information circulating in the media. We know that young people get more and more information from social networks and other sources of unmediated information, which are very permeable to false news and all kinds of manipulation. It is very important that schools encourage young people to think about information, which is one of the essential bases of democracy, making clear the difference between mediated and unmediated information.
