Knowing each other

  • Szkoła Podstawowa nr 9 im. Mikołaja Kopernika w Dzierżoniowie (The Nicolaus Copernicus Primary School nr 9 in Dzierżoniów) is situated in a mountainous region in south-west Poland in Lower Silesia. There are almost 500 students at the school aged 6-13.

    Jiráska school is the biggest school from four Lanskroun´s schools. Lanskroun has about 10 000 cizitens and is situated in the South West of the Czech republic near Polish border. Our school has got two buildings -  primary and secondary one. Because we live in a big industrial area so we try to concentrate on technic subjects and languages. We teach English from third grades 3 lessons/week. Students can choose from 7th grade English conversation club. From 2013 we use CLIL, from 2015 we have a native speaker as an asistant during teaching. From 8th grade we teach second language - German. Every year our students go abroad  - to U.K. and Germany as well.
