The Golden Age of Democracy

Today, we live in a mostly democratic society. Although, living in a democratic society doesn’t mean we ourselves are democratic in practice. We can often see intolerance of opinions and discrimination because of the same. For instance, someone that has different opinions than the community at large may often be discriminated and sometimes will be excluded from participating in democratic acts. Our project mainly aims at providing opportunities to learn more about the terms democracy, democratic participation and study ,understand and internalize the core values of democracy "Freedom, respect for differences, justice, tolerance and equality" and to help better understand European diversity. Participants will take part in national and international teams, discuss, share ideas, volunteer for tasks, cooperate and collaborate with their European peers and teachers and finally use various Web 2.0 to express their opinions and create different products in a 3 months period.
