Project Plan

  • Here's a rough project plan. We'll discuss and set the deadlines as we go.

    Created by the principal of School #22, biology and Nature Studies teacher, Liubov Yavorska and Sophia Voitolovska, teacher of English, Chernivtsi, Ukraine

    1. The partner schools create “Hello” videos to introduce their teams and schools and upload them to Twinspace. (Time: 2 weeks)

    2. Partner schools hold logo and slogan competitions in their schools. Each school uploads 3 best logos and slogans to Twinspace. The participants vote for the best 3 and the jury votes for the best one (Time: 1month).

    3. The pupils discuss the issues of climate change and energy efficiency at the lessons/club meetings (they can hold Skype meetings at this stage). They create PPT about the ways energy is saved at their home and at school. They make calculations and graphs on how much energy is saved in a year due to good energy saving practices. They can upload their PPTs to Twinspace (Time: 2.5 months)

    4. The partner schools vote for the most effective and practical energy saving solutions and make a joint list and post it in Twinspace. (1 week)- amended to a discussion via skype and setting some challenges.

    5. Partner schools hold the final event (with songs, skits, posters, presentations, quiz games, etc.) for other pupils, parents, representatives of local authorities on April 22, the Earth Day. (Preparation time: 1- 1,5 month)

    6. Partner schools share the videos/photos of their final event in Twinspace, comment on it and evaluate the project. (Time: 2-3 weeks)
