In this project students from Greece, Turkey and other European countries will explore a great way to learn foreign language vocabulary: by listening to music! They will work together on the website www.musiclexis.com, which contains dictionaries for English, French and other languages and which offers examples from popular songs to help the acquisition of new vocabulary. During the project the students from all over Europe will choose their favourite entries in each dictionary and post them in Twinspace, they will post new words that they learned, they will videotape themselves singing songs they choose in each foreign language, or create new song lyrics, and they will add new entries to the dictionaries. The students will learn new words in other European languages, even in languages they didn't speak at all. They will also learn about the music of each of their countries, and enjoy listening to songs they had never heard before. They will have fun learning vocabulary through music!
