    Hello,

My name is Rodrigues, I am twenty-three years old.

I lived in Buenos Aires but because of civil war, I should go out of Buenos Aires.

I’m with my mom and my two daughters (Ruben and Julio).

In Buenos Aires was so dangerous for my family.

War guns, explosives, in all the city, for that reason we are going to France and to find interesting jobs.

We lived in garage with one room and without furniture.

My mom washes my daughters in a bucket with unclean water.

We do not eat as much as we want, we are hungry, because I do not have a job to feed my family.

I have no money for the doctors or go to hospital because they don’t want care with people who are poor.

My daughters are sick because we don’t sleep well, during the nights we are cold, all along the night.

And my wife is dead because an explosion, she was in city to find food to the daughters, I, my mom and for her of course.

So, this is our last day in Buenos Aires. We visited my wife's grave for the last time.We had to leave our memories and good old times here in order to protect ourselfs from other dangers and live a normal life. This will become a new beginning in our lifes.

This was our first day of this journey. We traveled by a plane to UK and it took like 9 hours. It was pretty exhausting for us ,but it was worth it.In our second day of journey we had to go to France, but it has been a little troublesome because of the traffic and some problems at the custom house (we had to stay there to register us and the customs said it will take like 5 up to 8 hours because it was full of other people who wanted to go to France ) ,so we decided to remain in UK.Meanwhile, we found a place to stay at a nice host and I found a job.

Unfortunately Ruben got sick and I had to find a way to earn extra money. We decided to move to Greece where we know that immigrants are treated in a more caring way and doctors could take care of her. The journey was about 5days by ship where we got the chance to meet a friendly man who said that he could find us a nice place to stay and medical help for my daughter. As soon as we reached land, he guided us to a farm where an old lady was living. She gave us food and clean water. We were really tired fron our journey so we all went to bed. The next day, early in the morning a doctor came by to check Ruben. She had anemia and her therapy would cost a lot of money.

Thankfully, they offered us help but we still had to find a way to pay for the therapy. My mother decided to work as a cleaning lady with Julio at a nearby block of flats but I could still not find a job.

Six months later my mother has continued to work and also Julio.

At this time we were able to earn much money. This new life was really nice but we were missing something and I have not yet been able to find a new job. My children were not well, and as if he was missing something. They were always sad but they never told me anything.

One day, when I was at home and the others come from work, we watched television, it was time for the news and we saw that they were talking of Argentina. They said: “The civil war is over”, my children suddenly jump for joy ,  and my mother also. Ever since we had left Buenos Aires I’ve had never seen my children and my mother so happy.

At that moment I did not know what to do, whether to give up our new life or return to our home town, where I was born, where I grew up, my kids looked at me in the eyes and without hesitation I told him: "go back home!".

With all the money with which we collected with difficulty, we paid for the trip and we returned to our native country.
After the Civil War, there were many work requests, and then I found a job as
a construction worker. My children were able to go to school for doctors because they said they wanted to become good doctors to help people in trouble, my mother stayed at home and always takes care of us.

I'm sure my wife was happy with the fact that I decided about, This was our destiny.
