A zoetrope
A zoetrope is a fun, educational, and easy to make animation experiment. Spin it and you see a animation appear before your eyes.
A zoetrope is one of several pre-film animation devices that produce the illusion of motion by displaying a sequence of drawings or photographs showing progressive phases of that motion.
The zootrope was invented in 1834 by the British mathematician William George Horner.
