How we worked on Mixed up animals

  • IN SANTA BÁRBARA SCHOOL, WE HAVE CREATED A BOOK. IN THE BOOK WE CAN FIND ALL THE DIFFERENT ANIMALS DONE BY ALL THE DIFFERENT SCHOOLS INVOLVED IN THIS PROJECT. WE HAVE BEEN PLAYING IN THE CLASSROOM CREATING CRAZY ANIMALS. NOW, EVERY DAY ONE CHILD OF OUR CLASS TAKES THE BOOK TO HIS/HER HOME TO SHOW IT TO HIS/HER PARENTS.

THE KIDS ARE HAVING A WHALE OF A TIME CREATING MIXED-UP ANIMALS.

IN ABENCERRAJES SCHOOL, WE HAVE BEEN WORKING OUR MIXED-UP ANIMALS USING "THE MIXED-UP CHAMELEON" BY ERIC CARLE. WE READ THE BOOK AND CHILDREN PLAYED MEMORY GAMES WITH FLASHCARDS ABOUT THE STORY. ALSO WE SAW A VIDEO ABOUT THIS TALE.

BOYS AND GIRLS DREW THIER MIXED-UP ANIMALS. FINALLY STUDENTS WERE PLAYING WITH ANIMALS' HEADS AND BODIES AND THEY HAD A GOOD TIME INVENTING NEW AND AMAZING ANIMALS.

Working on Mixed-up Animals in Frossasco

In CEIP Serrano Clavero School, we drew different heads and bodies of animals we liked creating new ones, after that, we coloured them and cut them out. We also were recorded to talk about them a little and taken photos. Here there is a video so you can see all we did...We hope you like it!

We also played with our friends´ pets and mixed them up, how funny!

In this video you can see some photos with our new animals...Can you recognize your heads and bodies?

How we worked in Torella del Sannio (Italy)

AT ROLETTO SCHOOL (ITALY) CHILDREN (6 years old) MADE A POSTER WITH

    THE MIXED UP ANIMALS.

    1. First they were given a big circle with the body and a small one for the head: they had to raw and colour an animal of their choice.

    2. In groups, they played to match heads and bodies in different ways and try to invent names for the crazy animals

    3. Then they chose heads and bodies to be scanned and posted in the twinspace for the partners to be downloaded

    4. Partner heads and tails were downloaded and printed for the children

    5. Finally chidlren made their own crazy animals by suing the partner pieces and made a final poster. They gave a name to the animals and wrote down a simple description in mother tongue.

At LORELAY PRIMARY SCHOOL - ROMANIA - children also created their book with strange, mixt up animals
