Reporters of cultural heritage without borders

This project is designed to address the tangible heritage of our folk costumes as "clothing is directly related to human identity both personal and social" and reveals social, economic, cultural and historical conditions, thus consisting a powerful non-verbal communication system. At the same time due to globalization challenges, the common European identity has become an imperative. Our students will have an in-depth study on folk costumes and outfits of their countries and comparing each other’s folk costumes they will recognise diversity, but also track common elements and routes in order to assemble new heritage products. Creativity, as a fundamental cultural principle, will allow our students to use their imagination and build their own paths for a common future. Apart from the cultural and creative character of this project we still put an great emphasis on practical Media Education working on reportage and its different forms in order to promote media literacy skills.
