After the online meeting on Food Waste on January 20th
The theme of this meeting was Food waste. As preparation for this meeting you watched the movie “Wasted: the story of food waste”, you heard about various aspects of food waste during the presentation of the HAS University of Applied Sciences and you discussed various aspects of the topic during the discussion rounds.
We are very interested to hear your
thoughts, ideas and proposals on this topic!
Based on this meeting and the movie you are now probably (better) able to formulate your own ideas about this topic. We therefore would like to ask you to write a one-page document in which you discuss the answers to the following important questions:
- Why do you think that people still waste food, although almost everybody probably thinks this should not be done? Can you understand this?, and if so, why, and if not, why not?
- What can you do yourself to reduce food waste?
- How can you convince others to reduce food waste and raise their knowledge and awareness of the topic as well?
