European Languages Day - Celebration Greetings Cards

I want my school to connect with lots of different schools and see writing in lots of different european languages. To celebrate European Languages Day at the end of September, I want to send and receive lots of greetings cards with other schools around Europe. These can be decorated with flags, pictures and words linked to the country they are sending the card from or the language inside. These cards could be send via post, email or in PowerPoint form. The whole point is to expose English children in my class to the wealth of languages around Europe. English is a language widely spoken but there are so many other languages out there that are interesting. Other languages sound different and look different written with different alphabets. I hope this experience gives children around Europe a sense of connection with schools around Europe and exposure to other languages and cultures.
