We chose fairy tales as our project topic because they are very important for early development in children and fostering critical thinking. We all love them; no child should live without Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty and all the other characters because all of them are a part of our joint cultural identity. That is precisely why we’ve decided to approach them in a slightly different manner, to let children change them, adapt them to their time. By choosing something we are all familiar with, we are trying to send a message that we are all very similar to each other even though we are from different countries. Finally, we can’t do this project without technology because nowadays it has become our new consciousness and a modern library which is why it will be an invaluable part of the whole experience of reimagining fairy tales.
