    DEMOCRACY IN STREET ART

Democracy is a delicate polity. It suffers from social injustice. The street artists critisize this situation, as you can see in our video.

FRENCH TEAM: democracy in street art in Montpellier (by Simon Lieber)

Montpellier is one of the most famous french city where you can find some street art. There are graffitis, trompe l'oeil, and a lot of street art techniques are present in Montpellier (collage, painting, patchwork, artefacts).  The street-art artists' goal is to delight the greatest number of spectators, but also to raise the nose of people from their smartphones.A lot of projects are born everyday in the ''quartier Rondelet'', or also in the ''Arceaux''. Democracy is a common theme for those artists: they defend a free world without oppression.

An association has been created, it's called Montpellier Loves Street Art and they often do some biography of street art Artists like ''Monsieur BMX'', Noon, Kirrikoo and Ose.

An artist called Oups ! created some creatures representing ladybirds. The artist created this work to represent  democracy, Cox paints on private property, he wants to explain to the people that the street belongs to all the citizens. He explains that infringing the law doesn't amuse him but to flirting with its limits procures a lot of fun.
