Diary of a Wimpy Kid

  • About the Wimpy Kid activities

    In May and July some partner countries started reading the Diary of the Wimpy Kid by Jef Kinney in class.  

    We played several vocabulary games  to facilitate our students with understanding and learning new vocabulary. Each student worked with vocabulary according to his-her needs.

    We used GoCoqr mindmap to motivate and facilitate students make correlations while reading the book. The mind map, which is called "About the book" ,  was a common platform for all ,where students could put any information they found about the Wimpy Kid and its author. We also used the voting tool to find five guestions to the author and we sent them to Wimpy Kid team.

    We enjoyed the "Sport" activity while reading the book. We were inspired by reading and we organized our sport activities connected with celebrating 10 year of eTwinning. 

    Greek students’ team performed acts of the play based on the book and the topic bullying. 

    We did not manage the most important activity called "Our comic stories" in the last school year. So we are going to finish it during the start of the next school year. This activity will be based on reading, common writing and drawing comic stories.
