Cultural stereotypes: how true are they?

The goal of this project is for students to reflect on their culture and consequently understand others’ better. The project would consist in two written productions and a virtual encounter: 1) In the middle of the chapter: create a card “you can tell I’m (nationality) because…” 2) At the end of the chapter: write an email to a foreign student to warn him/her that not all clichés foreign people have about their country are true. Say which ones you think reflect reality and which don’t. 3) Perhaps near the end of the chapter: virtual encounter on Skype As there is a certain degree of abstraction in the ability to reflect on this subject, the targeted student age is 13-14 and the targeted language level is A2-B1.
